Here’s what I thought: This movie was weird to me. It was the type of movie with characters that you didn’t know ever exist in real life. Although strange, their relationship gives you kind of a happy feeling. I thought it was great. It was slightly intense for the mood i was in. I wanted something lighthearted and it was a little more than that.
Mermaid (Pусалка)
Alice grows up trying to fill the void of her missing father. She goes through a special education school in efforts to get her to talk. She discovers her power to grant wishes and causes a hurricane in her seaside town. Her family moves to Moscow where she seems to find someone that can replace the emptiness. Here’s what i thought: This movie was kind of slow to get into, but it was so strange that I just kept watching. This movie panned out to be quite nice. It was quirky and unusual but it kept you drawn to Alice and her story. The cinematography added a lot to my interest. Simply beautiful. Despite the name i wouldn’t suggest this for anyone under 13. Not on Netflix! Watch it here or Xfinity On Demand

A film about a frizzy-haired, pink-cheeked outcast named Spork who is trying to navigate her way through the annals of junior high. When a school dance show provides a chance for Spork to show up a mean girls gang, her trailer-park neighbor steps up to coach her with some “booty-poppin” moves. Here’s what I thought: It took me while to figure out if this movie was supposed to be cheesy or not. It was to be cheesy and stereotypical of the social group portrayed. I honestly didn’t like that about this movie. I kind of wish it was a “normal” presentation of the situation. I would have gone a different route in filiming this, and i’d go the opposite direction in feeling. That being said, it was an enjoyable movie and had a pretty good storyline.

So guys. I don't like to watch Horror very often.
So I am thinking about adding someone to this blog who does. Message me at my main blog and we’ll talk.

Hallam’s is a 17 year old boy. He has developed some odd habits of trying to remember his mother, who died two years prior. After this, he stayed alone and watched people from a far. He begins to try to uncover the true cause of his mother’s death, whilst chasing after a woman who had a striking resemblance to his mother. Here’s what i thought: At first this movie weirded me out. It intrigued me so i kept watching. The story develops and it’s honestly hard to look down upon his sort of “bad” habits. I really enjoyed this movie and it’s originality. Jamie Bell makes me smile, so that is a plus.

After he loses his high-paying job, Dory takes a gig as a night janitor in order to pay rent. Alone late at night inside a market research firm, he soon discovers the company is experimenting on their other janitors Here’s what i though: I thought this was a really strange movie. As it should be portray. The cinematography is amazing. It’s pretty enough to intrigue you, but weird enough to concern you. It crosses the film genre of comedy and drama very well. It’s not too forced. Great.

Precocious Oliver struggles with being popular in school but when a dark-haired beauty takes interest in him, he’s determined to become the best boyfriend in the world. Meanwhile, his parents’ already rocky relationship is threatened when his mother’s ex-boyfriend moves in next door. Oliver makes some unorthodox plans to ensure that his parents stay together and that Jordana still likes him
Here’s what I thought:
I thought this movie was a little strange, and this made think, “Do all boys really think this way?” I like how this movie is not exactly about the misfits, but exactly about the popular kids. Just a normal boy with normal problems. He just reacts to them a little unusually

Will just moved into a new “redneck” town where the kids are rotten and the administrators don’t listen and just see Will and his friends as belligerent. Will and his friends are misfits of sorts, but maybe all they really need is someone to listen to and believe in them. Will listening to the negative things over and over again make them true? Here’s what i thought: This movie was sad, I won’t lie. That being said, it has given me a lot to think about. The people in this movie were horrible to Will and his friends, and I’m not saying they handled it right but it probably could have been prevented. This movie gave me a heavy heart. |
